Addiction Treatment is a structured approach to helping individuals overcome substance use disorders or behavioral addictions. Effective treatment may include a combination of medication management, including MAT (medication assisted treatment) and other addiction treatment services that may be part of a comprehensive approach involving outside services as well, depending upon the specific needs of the client.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is used to help treat addiction use disorders, particularly opioids and is FDA-approved and can help reduce cravings, block the effects of the substance, or ease withdrawal symptoms (e.g., Suboxone, methadone, naltrexone).
